Athletic Performance – Whether you play a sport professionally, work a desk job, serve our country as a first responder, or chase young children around at home; we all need to develop strength, endurance and mobility in our minds and bodies. If you do not train for balance in your body, mind and overall health, injuries become common. We all have different battles, and it’s important that our training regimen specifically serves our needs. The Art of Jiu-Jitsu – The gentle art of Ju Jutsu, has shown to be one most effective forms of self defense and combat martial arts, proven over hundreds of years by warriors on the battlefield. As a world class competitor, Coach Dwight shares his secrets on winning in the sport of Jiu Jitsu, preparing for competition, and the Self Defense application of Jiu Jitsu.
Because our #1 mission is to support the growth and development of the next generation of kids. We encourage our students want to help others by working together and teaching them how to move using technique and leverage over strength, which quickly tires. We emphasize Countering-Bullying skills like situational awareness, de-escalation, as well ashow to survive and escape bad situations. School teachers and administrators are not equipped with the training or skills to handle bullying, so we believe it is up to us to share this knowledge with our community, so that we can make our part of the world, here in beautiful Southern Utah. Adult Classes – These classes are for age 14+ and teach a combination of sport and self defense Jiu-Jitsu, based on the needs of the students in class. It is our goal to create a supportive team-building culture and a community of Jiu-Jitsu practitioners who want to help each other improve while keeping safety as the number 1 Priority. Our classes are designed for all fitness levels and people with tight schedules. Members may choose to stay for the class which lasts for 60 minutes, or are welcome to enjoy sparring(non compliant) after the class for an additional 30 minutes. Interested in trying it out? Kids Classes
Martial Arts plays a big role in developing young people all around the world and the reason is simple. Other countries don’t rely on the kindness of others to protect themselves or their loved ones. A big misconception here in America is that law enforcement is solely responsible for keeping us safe. But in actuality, you are responsible for your own protection and in many cases as adults, the protection of others. Our Patriot Kid’s classes not only teach Jiu Jitsu, but also we have a mat chat in each class about how we can apply Martial Arts characteristics to empower us to live a better, more fulfilling life. We also have a competition team for students’ who want a higher level of challenge and Coach Dwight always competes with the team.
Class Schedule:
We know many of our members have busy schedules and we know that time is of the essence. In each 60 minute class our students will warm up, drill the foundation movements for what we will work on drilling in the class. After the class you are welcome to hurry on to your next engagement, or stay and spar with your teammates.
